Come away from all knowing. Step back and back and back from each untrue certainty that torments you, commands you, contracts you in rage. Keep stepping back until the thunder's guttural rumbling beneath you tears open the red earth, and takes you under. Until the tsunami comes. Until every semblance of you, mind, feet, or ground are penetrated and swallowed. Until you find yourself standing in an infinite field of transparency so vast and pristine, that obliteration itself glows unbroken, and beautiful. Until your heart crumbles in this nothingness of everything.

Notice if there is a tendency to believe that you must be holy and still to know yourself as Love. This is the farthest thing from the truth. Notice if there is a tendency to believe anything at all. This is what keeps you locked into your subservience to this mistaken identity.
You are everything that is happening right here in this moment. You are not that shining star, only visible when the moon is right and your waters are calm and pristine. You are that star, that moon, that water. And you are also the roiling tempest, the volcanic eruption, the earthquake's heaving clay. You are the angels that sing, and the filthy, tattered and torn lost soul begging for a coin and sleeping in the street. You are the sweet refrain of loved ones gathered in joy, and the temper tantrum that knows no end to the primal scream echoing out into eternity. You are the saint and the killer, the healed and the dead. Love is not one thing, and not another. Know yourself as Love, and the most bitter taste dissolves on the tongue like the buttery nectar of freedom that you are. You are so loved! Analisa After your house burns down to the ground, is the perfect time to redecorate - and not a moment before! After you understand that you are not the director, but the theater itself, feel free to enjoy any play you like! After you realize that nothing is solid, and nothing matters, lovingly take all those matters to heart and participate with joy! After you see that you are absolutely alone and that there is no one to dance with, turn up the music, take off your clothes and twist and waltz and boogaloo wildly with everyone and everything you see! After you see that you are nothing at all, you will discover, beloved, that you are everything!
You are so loved, Analisa Wandering, waiting, searching, and longing. Feeling apart from all that we see, this is the most natural way of navigating our world. When we see, with delight and wonder, that world as our own dream, our own magnificent everything/nothing self, and everything in it as 'I', everything slows down, gets quiet and still. The freedom of being (contemplative, activist, teacher, student, professor, plumber, prince, frog) becomes the most natural way of navigating our world. Being, just as you are.
All love, Analisa Will you act and speak from your heart today? No matter what your heart is feeling? Or will mind be in charge, running the whole darn thing, having the whole darn thing all figured out, and then packaged in pretty paper? Why not throw that big lump of concrete out the window and let the crazy wind blow through, sending everything flying in a thousand directions, knocking everything topsy turvy, then sitting down right in the middle of it all? Laughing. Weeping. Gathering it all in, right here in the untamed heart.
All love, Analisa Being patient, gentle and kind will not grant you the keys to the pearly gates. Not glide you up to heaven or descend you into hell. But it is heavenly to feel this way, and hellish to go the other route.
It is time for sleep. Rest well, beloveds. Good night. You are so loved, Analisa Truth is known, and written across our hearts. Our minds like to grab on, to claim the prize, to steal the show. Slow it all down, as best you can in each moment, and allow what arises, what is seen, what is heard, to float gently through you, like waves, like clouds, like sound, like laughter. Enjoy what is here now. Never mind finding the answer, mapping the route, scurrying to gather the precious nuts and naming their genus, claiming them as your own, or discovering their source. You are the source of everything and nothing. Enjoy the freshness of the fruit, stop scraping the bark from the tree.
All love, Analisa A beautiful process for someone who is dying, is to honor 'the five things' with the loved ones they will be leaving behind. Saying these five things can be an extraordinary way to heal the heart. They are: "Forgive me", "I forgive you", "thank you", "I love you", "goodbye".
Why not say them to our loved ones each morning, each night, each moment. We are all terminal, so why wait for a diagnosis. No doubt, the five things will be perpetually appropriate, while we walk this planet, in these human skins. When seemingly reaching a state when these five things no longer need saying, say them anyway, because they are so beautiful. Forgive me, I forgive you, thank you, I love you, goodbye, Analisa What is arising may look and feel like you holding strong opinions and cherished beliefs; taking sides and being right; believing that what you are seeing in this moment is predictive of things to come - perhaps representing doom or failure or whatever else might be even worse than that. This world you see suffering and unholy may just be the vision you are holding. You've washed and dressed for this new day. Why not try on a new pair of eyes and ears, hands and hearts, to match your outfit. Perhaps the emperor's new clothes might suit?
With love, Analisa It is all so vast. Seemingly. Then, that which is all so vast, is known to be only this one fresh, tiny, brief, precious, delicious, terrifying, crazy moment. Will it be met with impatience, distraction, frustration, hostility, annoyance, meanness, a tired, habitual response? OR, will this only moment that will ever be, and never be again, be met with grace, compassion, fairness, appreciation, patience, empathy, tenderness, bright eyes, a warm heart? Remember this, dear ones, this meeting held between us, is only You, smiling and crying in endless waves of ecstasy for this brief vast beauty that cannot possibly be.
You are so loved, Analisa |
The invitation is to leave it alone. To let life be. To know yourself as being lived. That is what is happening here. Life is alive as you, through your breath, through your being. Don't look for it elsewhere. It does you and undoes you, over and over again. You are not the doer. Stop claiming that you are, and your relentless despair of knowing you are not, will dissolve. The belief in the doer, is what deadens you, and crushes your heart. And yet you fear death. The only death you will ever know is this lifeless longing. Question these beliefs, awaken from them, and live it out loud. Then you will know yourself as boundless life, as freedom, and your body will age and die fully alive, without regret, endlessly beautiful.
