We're in for another chilly night here - a clear and lovely chilly night. As I ready myself for sleep, I offer deep gratitude for this passing and precious day.
The sweet gifts of friendship, kindness, and love. Fresh water to drink, clean food to eat, a beloved four-legged friend to feed and brush and care for. There were stories of joy, regret, grief, longing, challenge and empowerment, fear and survival. And the love of my dear one, always near, and the noticing of tiny new lines of sadness on his face, ones I had not seen until today. I am grateful for the fresh eyes of the beloved, forever gazing out, forever gazing in, delighting in each new form as it arises, in delicious love with all, as it is and is no more. A chilly night outside, a warm fire burns in the hearth, and it is very warm within. All love, Analisa

invites you to find out what you are. The nun Wu Jincang asked the Sixth Patriach Huineng, "I have studied the Mahaparinirvana sutra for many years, yet there are many areas i do not quite understand. Please enlighten me."
The patriarch responded, "I am illiterate. Please read out the characters to me and perhaps I will be able to explain the meaning." Said the nun, "You cannot even recognize the characters. How are you able then to understand the meaning?" "Truth has nothing to do with words. Truth can be likened to the bright moon in the sky. Words, in this case, can be likened to a finger. The finger can point to the moon’s location. However, the finger is not the moon. To look at the moon, it is necessary to gaze beyond the finger, right?" Archives
